Krissa-ReinboldGirls’ Soccer-Krissa Reinbold

Krissa is originally from Folsom, California where she still holds the high school record for most goals scored in a career at 137.  She was recruited by many colleges but chose BYU where she was a starting midfielder and forward for all four years.  Krissa was Academic All-Conference in 2003 and 2004, was a 2-year team captain, and in 2003 was named 2nd Team All-American.  In the 2003 NCAA Tournament Krissa scored 4 of the 5 goals that BYU scored as they advanced to the Elite 8.  As a coach for the Utah Avalanche Girls’ Soccer Club Krissa has helped place over 70 players in college programs and is a 5 time Utah State Champion Coach.

don-eckFootball-Donald Eck

Don grew up in California and moved to Utah when he was recruited by Wayne Howard to play for the Utes. Don was a three year starter on the offensive line, and was coached by Ron McBride. After his playing days were finished, Don became a graduate assistant at the “U” and was later hired as the offensive line coach under Jim Fassel until 1990 when he became a graduate assistant at The University of Arizona.  In 1991 Don became the offensive line coach at James Madison University, then returned to the “U” in 1994 as the associate head coach/offensive line coach under Ron McBride for 10 years. After coaching jobs with NFL Europe, Don returned to Utah to coach at Weber State as assistant head coach/offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Most recently, Coach Eck rejoined Jim Fassel with the United Football League where he has been the offensive line coach with the Las Vegas Locomotives.  Coach Eck is excited to lay down roots in Utah and build a strong program at Corner Canyon High. Don has four children, Josh, 23, Jacob 19, Caitlynn, 13, and Jewelia 5. Don is married to Cynthia.

don-eckCheer Coach - Whitney Lunt

Born and raised in Utah, Whitney grew up dancing, tumbling, cheering, and knowing that she wanted to be a social studies teacher. She was the Varsity Co-Captain of her squad as a junior and the Varsity Captain her senior year of high school. She chose to pursue only academics at Utah State University on a Presidential scholarship, and has been teaching History and Geography at Crescent View Middle School since she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2009. Whitney has been part of a cheer squad, and also has experience choreographing, coaching, and teaching group and private dance, cheer, and tumbling lessons. She is looking forward to working with the girls at Corner Canyon to build a very talented and spirited cheer squad this upcoming year and is also excited about heading up the Social Studies Department and building curriculum and programs that will help students gain the knowledge that need to succeed both in school and in life. Whitney has experience as both a PLC and Interdisciplinary team leader and has been in several leadership positions throughout her life, including serving as Miss Payson from 2005-2006. She hopes to use these leadership skills as she moves forward both as a cheer coach and a department head.

daron-connellyBaseball-Daron Connelly

Daron Connelly grew up in Southern California and has been around baseball his entire life. Daron is currently the head coach at Maricopa High in the Phoenix, Arizona area and teaches journalism, broadcast journalism, and yearbook. Daron was part of a nationally ranked baseball team as a college player and was a pitcher in the San Francisco Giants organization (minor leagues). Those people who spoke about Coach Connelly have high regard for him as a coach, but even higher regard for him as a leader of young men. One of his former players said: “one of his greatest attributes is he sees the strengths in every player and is able to adjust his coaching to their individual needs.” 
We are excited for the baseball program, knowing Daron will have high expectations, build a quality reputation, and do it all with class!

garrett-honeSoftball-Garrett Hone

Garrett Hone is currently an assistant coach at Spanish Fork High School where he has been a part of four region championships and one state championship.  Garrett has been playing fast pitch softball for over ten years as a pitcher and a catcher.  In 2001 Garrett played on the USA Junior Men’s Fast pitch Team in Sydney, Australia; and has since competed on a high level with teams locally, winning national championships in 2009 and 2010 he was named MVP of both those tournaments and received first team all-American honors.  Garrett is currently training to make the senior USA fast pitch team.  Currently a student at UVU, Garrett will complete his education in April as a biology major and plans to teach biology and health sciences.  Garrett will bring enthusiasm and excitement to both the classroom and the softball program.

mindy-wilderVolleyball/Girls Track-Mindy Wilder

Mindy is a 1997 graduate of Alta High, where she competed as Mindy Romig in volleyball, basketball, and track; having scholarship offers in all three sports Mindy chose a track and field scholarship at The University of Utah. While at the “U” Mindy competed in the heptathlon until she decided to specialize in the hammer throw and javelin.  As a freshman Mindy took 3rd in the nation at junior nationals in the javelin and was named a junior all-American, her javelin record at the “U” stood for 10 years.  Mindy has been teaching at West High since 2002, where she has been the head volleyball coach and assistant track coach while teaching in the P.E. department.  Mindy will serve as the department chair in the P.E. department and fulfill her passion of coaching young people in the sports she loves.

deven-moodyDevin Moody-Boys’ Cross Country

Devin grew up in Provo where he ran at Timpview High School before competing at Utah Valley University.  While in high school Devin was the team captain for both Cross Country and Track.  His accomplishments in school and on the course led to him receiving Timpview's Academic Athlete award.  While at UVU, Devin helped his team defend back to back conference titles in 2009 and 2010.  Devin continues to compete competitively as a member of the elite racing team for Sojourner's Running Club based in Orem.  In 2011, Devin helped as an assistant coach for Timpview High School's cross country team. Devin's passion for the sport of running is coupled with his love for art.  Devin graduated from UVU with a degree in Art Education and plans to teach Ceramics and Art History.

todd-tannerTodd Tanner Boys’ and Girls’ Golf

Todd is a native of Utah with more than 21 years of competitive, recreational and educational golf experience.  He has had a very successful playing career locally and throughout the world.  Todd has had competitive experience, qualifying for the PGA Tour FBR Open in Scottsdale Arizona, and playing in 13 PGA Nationwide Tour Events.  He has successfully made it through to the second stage of PGA Tour School on two occasions and has played on the Canadian Tour for 5 years.

Todd has had tremendous success in helping others build and develop sound fundaments, competitive drive and enjoyment of the game of golf.  Todd has experience teaching all age groups and is excited to coach the first golf teams at Corner Canyon High.  Todd has been the Director of Instruction for the Junior Golf Academy and is considered one of the top teachers of golf in the state.

MykelSeeborgPicMykel Seeborg-Boys' and Girls' Tennis

After growing up on the east coast in Maryland , I decided to pursue a collegiate tennis career here in Utah....With the realization that professional tennis might be an out of reach dream,  I settled here in Draper 12 yrs ago to raise a family. Seeing the need for a tennis facility some where in the south east end of the valley, lead me on a journey that landed me at the Sports Mall in Murray ,UT, 6 years ago, where I have been  fulfilling my passion of  teaching tennis and giving back to the sport that has given me so much in my life! I look forward to the opportunity to establish Corner Canyon High School and the Draper area as a force in the tennis community.

Patrick ThurmanBoys' and Girls' Swimming

Patrick grew up in Salt Lake City and attended West High School where he was a four year varsity and state qualifier on the swim team.  After high school, Patrick attended the University of Utah and earned his BA degree in Political Science.  Patrick then earned his teaching license from Westminster College and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in American History and Government from Ashland University.  During his teaching career, Patrick has been named as the James Madison Fellow and has served as a judge for the state of Utah We The People Competition.  Over the past 17 years of coaching, his experience has included coaching boys soccer at West High, coaching in the Country Club swim league, coaching USA swim teams, and coaching high school swim teams.  He has served as the Head Coach for Alta for the past 8 years and looks forward to continuing as the coach at Corner Canyon.  He has been named as the 5A Swim Coach of the Year, his swimmers have achieved Swimmer of the Year Awards, multiple state championships in relays and individual events, and All-American or Academic All-American status.

JeffreyEureWrestling


Jeff grew up in Pennsylvania where he was a 2 time state champion wrestler and all-state baseball player. After high school Jeff enrolled at Old Dominion University where he played baseball for three years and was selected as an Academic All-American. Jeff was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers and played minor league baseball for the Brewers and Kansas City Royals for eight years, reaching the AA level with both clubs. Jeff has been the head wrestling and baseball coach at Weber High for the past 3 years, where his wrestling teams have finished in the top 5 each of those years. Jeff has a passion for teaching students how to take care of their bodies properly and be physically fit, and will emphasize fitness and proper nutrition in the physical education classes he will be teaching. Jeff ‘s wife is Lyndy and they have two sons Lincoln and Louden.
